Deep Cleaning
and servicing high wall split system
Professional Deep Clean & Service Process
Professional technicians generally follow these steps for a complete deep clean:
- Safety & Inspection: Power is turned off, and electrical components are protected.
- Protection: A specialized water catch bag (cleaning bib) is installed around the indoor unit to collect waste.
- Component Removal: Filters and front covers are removed, cleaned, and sanitized.
- Chemical Application: An antibacterial, alkaline-based cleaner is applied to the evaporator coils and fan barrel to break down contaminants.
- Deep Clean: The coils, fan blower, and return air vents are rinsed with a low-pressure jet cleaner.
- Drain Check: The drain pipe is flushed to remove debris and prevent leaks.
Reassembly & Testing: The unit is dried, reassembled, and tested for performance.
Why Deep Clean?
- Mould Removal: Eliminates mold and bacteria growth in the indoor unit, significantly improving indoor air quality.
- Efficiency & Energy Savings: Cleans clogged fins and coils, allowing the system to run better, reducing energy usage.
When to Service
A professional deep clean is recommended 1-2 years depending on how often the unit is used, however if the unit is in a bedroom or used in a high-pollen area, annual cleaning is advisable.
